FAQs
Where can a night golf system be set up?
GloProSA can setup for a Night Golf event on any golf course, ranging from an executive par 3 to a full championship course. GloProSA are the only Night Golf Company in South Africa who offer “full play” meaning we setup PAR4 and PAR5 holes, not just all PAR3s as more commonly done in Night Golf.
Can beginners play golf at night?
Yes. In fact a more relaxed and fun atmosphere during night play takes the pressure off players to perform in front of others which often yields for better results. Promoting golf to those who would normally shy away from Day golf.
How can I see where other players are at night?
It is a general safety requirement that all players wear glow lights to ensure maximum visibility on the course. Players are also issued with a 1000 Lumen Magneto Torch, which can be used as a safety light, to read the green, as well as charge up players’ GloBro Night Golf Balls.
Can I book a private night golf event?
How does the night golf system work?
GloProSA will setup 9 holes to accommodate 72 Night Golfers, we use 14” LED Light Markers to illuminate Fairways (Green), Hazards (White), Bunkers (Red) and the Greens (Blue), our flagpoles are also full LED, and we have a light in the cup hole so you can see exactly where you need to Put. The tee off Markers are also round LED lights. You are then supplied with GloPro’s own “GloBro” Golf ball which plays as near to a normal golf ball, with its unique design, Night Golfers can use Drivers on this golf ball, the play is very similar to a normal Golf Ball.
How does a GloBro Night Golf ball perform compared to a normal golf ball?
Our custom designed GloBro Golf balls play as near to a Normal Golf Ball, but you will lose around 10% off of your shot, compared to regular golf balls, however the distance markers on the tees and the fairways can be setup to compensate this loss.
Are night golf events available for public play?
Yes. GloProSA host various events throughout South Africa, aimed at both member events and social events, which are open to the public. Simply follow us on FaceBook (search glopro.kilgourit.co.za) and “LIKE” our page to be kept up to date with all upcoming events in your area.
